Hey guys, I'm headed to Reno next month and I'm staying at the Atlantis. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend good casinos/cardrooms in Reno.
Thanks.

I think the Hilton has the highest limit games. Everywhere else is smaller stuff (2/4 3/6).

*Bump* Trip is in 3 days. Anyone have any last recommendations for soft games? I'm also interested in playing Omaha 8-or-better and 7-Card Stud if people can recommend good games in Reno casinos as well.

I was there in March and played a lot at Circus Circus. The casino's that aren't right in downtown seem to have the higher limits. The daily tourney structures weren't the greatest but that might have changed.

Dave's right about the best games being at the Hilton. In addition, they will comp you a meal ticket every 3 or 4 hours--it's not much, 7 or 8 bucks that you can use at the 50's style diner across from the poker room. You'll have to ask to get it, but they do it with a "no problem" attitude. It's also good at the bakery for a coffee and snack (front of the casino) or at the little hotdog kiosk. When they have tourney's they have special rates for poker players; I don't know about the rest of the time.
Also, there is one casino downtown that has big games--can't remember which one. Worth stopping in if you are the outdoor type is the Sierra Trading Post outlet store on the south end of town--got a pair of $150 ski gloves there for under 30 bucks. Harrah's casino (might be in Tahoe) still uses a brass core chip that's soon going to be a thing of the past. They are absolutely beautiful.
