Mine all have the corners clipped, I don’t think they look that mutilated.

This has been exhaustively discussed in the "Cards, Chips, Tables" forum. A brief rundown:

The standard plastic-coated paper cards are usually seen at house table games like blackjack etc. You can get these anywhere, any of the US Playing Cards brand names are fine in my experience, Bees or Bicycles are usually considered the best. I don't know of any difference other than the printing between Bees that you'd buy in a store and casino decks. Yes, used casino decks are always either clipped or drilled or worst, notched, and usually marked on the side with felt pen, it either ruins the deck or not depending on the method and how picky you are.

Then there are plastic cards, usually used in poker rooms for their durability. Kems are arguably the best and most popular. These are the ones you will usually see the pros using on TV, though I've seen Copags popping up here and there as in the 2005 WSOP. Other well regarded brands are Copag, Dal Negro, and Gemaco. Royal and A Plus are generally considered poor quality. Some people find plastic cards slippery or otherwise unpleasant. Most people can get over this and many don't like to use anything else. I like them because they stay flat and unmarked indefinitely. My Copags have held up in long weekly sessions for 6 months or so, and I see no need to be concerned about replacing them yet. Expect to pay $15 or more for a two deck set of quality plastic cards, though.

Cards used in poker rooms are usually bridge size, regular index. "Poker" size is usually used for blackjack etc. Confused

I don't know about the cards at the site you mention. My guess would be that they are regular paper cards like you could get anywhere else for less that will be likely be trashed in a few games, so no real reason to get them unless you really like the design or whatever. I'd stick with name brand quality plastic cards like Kem or Copag.

See the Cards, Chips, Tables forum for much much more on this, including some online stores. Also Google for any of the brands to find many stores, also these are sold on eBay.
