Limp in SB with K10s, flop a big hand. Table is pretty ABC save Cardomask, who has made some very interesting bets at pots. Liked to limpraise less than optimal hands, and overbet pots. I check, thinking with so many behind me someone is bound to take a stab at it. Sure enough, Cardo tossed in an overbet, which was a little annoying. By smooth calling that, it just screams "I've got a King!" and probably kills some action on later streets. Indy then calls the overbet as well, and it seems that he may have the case king.
So by the turn, I'm thinking I'm up against the other king, and probably a pocket pair, but not entirely sure who has what yet. For whatever reason, I think to try and confuse Cardo, I make a 4 dollar bet into a 14 dollar pot, and he pops it to 12.50 with little hesitation. My question is this: clearly Cardo likes his hand, so should I have just smooth called and let him dig his own grave on the river? Indy I wasn't worried about because he was going to be all in calling the turn reraise.
I reraised because I want to try to get the most money in the pot right now, mostly because if I smooth call and then check to him on the river, he may just check behind with a pair and I'm getting much less of his stack. Thoughts on how I could've gotten Cardomask's stack in?

I think you did right. He bet the flop and raised your bet on the turn so he must have had something pretty choice, even AA. Smooth calling his turn bet could have let him catch a card that would have made his hand and although the odds were low (eg he'd have to catch an Ace holding AA or make quads holding a PP that is already a boat) I still think your raise was fine. It's strange that he folded at all really, either it was a good laydown or he really had nothing............

if you're willing to take a risk, smooth call the turn and value bet the river, praying that he didn't hit his 5% card

He obviously didn't have the K, he obviosly didn't have the boat and there was a player all-in who would likely prevent him from bluffing.
I think your line is great. The only other line I would consider is betting the flop strong, turn weak, then checking the river. This makes your hand appear to be incredibly weak. This is a riskier line. You bust them more often and you take it down a small pot on the flop more often.
