My brother and I were playing Hold Em, and we had the same 2 pairs, and on the table was an ace, but he had a King in his hand and I had a 10 in my hand...who wins?

Noone. You would split the pot equally between you.
As you would both have this hand:
Pair 1 - Pair 2 - Ace
Which would make the 5 card hand that decides the winner.

Well, i just ran muck's post thru a decryption program i have and it turns out that it is indeed Alien code. It seems to be being transmitted from a home in Memphis and is bound for "the mother ship" based just outside Alpha Centauri.
Funny thing is, the sender just signs off with the initials E. A. P. 
Cue Twighlight Zone music.
