Alright, I've never been to Biloxi but with our normal trip to Las Vegas being suspended this year because of flight times just not cooperating with us. We have decided to head down to Biloxi and gamble and for my wife (lay on the beach), however, I'm not sure of which casinos have NL poker and what the limits are. And how's the play....
So my questions are....
Which casinos have poker rooms, and how close to Beau Rivage are they?
What are the NL buy ins? ( I only play no-limit)
How's the play?
Also, what other things are there to do there when in Biloxi? I've never been but my wife thought it would be nice to be near a beach for our normal yearly weekend getaway without the kids.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I was in Biloxi a few weekends ago. I played at the Grand which is a mile and a half away from the Beau. There are other smaller poker rooms at some other places but the Grand is the place to play. They mostly have limit games with 1-4-8 spread limt being the lowest but there was a no-limit table but after watching it for ten minutes I decided to stick to limit because the play was loooooose.
Check out their web site for info on the tourneys. There are some $100 buy-in tourneys a couple of days a week but I wasn't there on those days.
I was there during the week so everyone knew each other, including the dealers, but it wasn't bad play all in all. I played for 20 hours and lost $40 so can't complain about that.
As far as other things to do in Biloxi, I couldn't tell you.

Yeah, your best bet is to play at the grand. There are things like deep sea fishing and what not that you can do, but in general there isn't too much going on. I'd definitely check around all the casinos and see what shows are playing if your into that.

This is a true tragic happening. I pray for anyone there or New Orleans.

I know this is small potatoes in the light of what happened, but according to bbc news this morning, all of the casinos in the area are indeed destroyed.

I always remembered the name of this thread because the place sounds kind of like B*ll*cks (no offense intended) and when I saw it on the news it really felt weird. I think it brought the disaster home because I could link it to real people I talk too.
