5-5NL:
horrible player has bought in now for his third $500 stack and has somehow run it down to $225 in 5 minutes. He's in teh cutoff.
me: cover him by a mile.
BB: terribly tight asian guy, probably around 25-28. Anyway, he wouldn't put money in a pot w/out a hand.
horrible open limps in the CO, button folds, both blinds check. I have A3o by the way. thought about pounding it but thought better of it.
Flop: 9-10-10, check, check, terrible bets $15. i call, BB folds.
Turn: 8, i lead for $25, horrible calls. huh?
River: 6 i check, he checks. He tables J5o.
I play awesome.

I'm bored and haven't played a big pot in a while.
I'm playing tight and getting respect for my bets/raises. yada yada. So i make it $20 w/87o in MP. nothing unusual. only this time i get 7 callers. awesome!
Flop: ($140) 9 7 6, two clubs. this is good and bad. checked to me, i bet $100. Guy who barely covers me hems and haws and finally mucks. short stack moves in, thank god. guy w/$2500+ shoots a stare at the all-in and tells me, "I would've called you, kid" I say "you still can" he smiles. I call off his last $150. thank god he sucks and is playing short.
board goes 9, 6. My pair of sevens lose to quad sixes. why can't i limp like the others on the table?

Pooch- This is the hand you just called me about.
I hate that push on the flop - The most likely only thing that is going to call you is a hand that has you beat!
I think you are pushing without any thought or without any information. Are you playing multiple tables & not concentrating on one thing? So you see a good hand at one table & just push?

TR,
I agree with you that it was a bad push with no information...
And, no I was not playing multiple tables...just the one.

you CALL with JTs from SB with only one limper and SB? To me that's pretty weak

Howzit, are you currently playing as you post your hands? Or just wait to get home? Seems from that statement that you have a laptop in front of you when you play or something.

You want him to raise? JTs, you want people in, not out.
