a scary river

Thinking about it afterhand I dont like my play on the river at all.

Most of the time I think I will be called only if I'm beat.

I believe I should have checked it.

No, actually ... I like your bet. If he had the jack, he would have had AJ or KJ most likely, and I expect he would have raised the turn. The only hand beating you which would call/bet like he did preflop, flop and turn would be JJ. Actually (afterthought) JJ would probably not bet a flop like that. He'd want to pot build and a $30 bet is high for the nuts.

that's true loonbat, he most likely raise the turn if he has AJ/KJ

however I still dont like my all-in play, I leave myself no exit.

I should maybe bet 75 and fold to a raise

i think you should've bet the turn a little harder, but after the results looks like it worked out well for you in the end

Yeah, that river definitely should have slowed you down. Not sure how that guy even called.

nah, he was doing one of those "glory" overcalls.

his chance of having a jack there is very slim. who check/calls the turn and then checks that river if they had a jack? Well, sometimes I will to trap a chronic river bluffer but you're not one of those.

betting and folding to a raise is the one option I won't do. Once i figure out where I am, i'll just stick in there and hope to get a call. I'll check this river frequetly becuase I'll rarely get a call from a hand that i'm beating.

The way you pushed in after the flop/turn action, it's more like "well, i have the jack and if i'm going to get paid off here, i might as well make it look like a bluff" So in taht sense, a shittier hand will call you anyway because they don't believe you have the jack. Know what i mean?
