so i am playing NL in a casino for the first time and am playing pretty tight. Because of this I am still even after about an hour. However in seat 4 there is a moron who thinks he is gods gift to poker sunglasses hat and all. He plays any A and valuses top pair likethe nuts berating players who make draws against him calling them lucky and telling them how they will eventually lose. That said here is my hand against him.
ME: AKs
Raise 3x bb all fold to him he calls all others fold.
Flop comes A2K rainbow. I bet he raises I stop to consider the chances he made a set but he didn't reraise preflop plus I already hold an A and a K reduceing his odds of that i guess he's got Ax sooooo...I reraise he goes all in I call for the rest of my chips.
I show AK he shows A7 i am dreaming of how I am going to spend his money when turn 7... no big deal this aint the net, no way he wins...river 7
I lose all my money. To make matters worse he tells me that i should never have called any ways because teo pair isn't that good a hand to call off my chips! He was less than 1 percent to win and he tells me this. All I did was smile and call for another rack. Left even for the night.

Everytime I hear a story about idiots like that it just baffles me. Putting all your money in with top two is a bad idea? I guess all you can do is shake it off. I like the way you played the hand, since he was overplaying Ax a lot.

Did you by any chance happen to see him later? Handing a large envelope stuffed full of cash to the dealer?

Seriously tho, such is life i suppose, you got your money in with by far the better hand, not much else you can do
