MTT Hand, would you play differently? |

Just an MTT hand I played recently, I was wondering if I should have played it differently. The outcome of the hand doesn't really bother me much and isn't really why I post this. I'm more curious if I should have played it differently.
I'll also mention that Tzar-X raised almost every second hand prior to this one.
The format is Prima poker, but it should be readable

I like everything except for the raise pre flop. AJ isn't much of a raising hand & you were in there RE-RAISING with it.
How K2s thought his hand was worth 240 pre flop is beyond me.

Duly noted. I tend to be too aggressive, so that input is much appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have never re-raised with AJ - Especially with one guy at the table who never misses a bet.... But from a "Most Generally Accepted" standpoint, it's probably just a calling hand.

agree with TR
its a shame the idiot with JK went all in cause he gave the flush draw better odds to chase that flush
nice hand, better luck next time

What'd you hope to accomplish with the min raise? Honestly?
You gave Tzar better than 4-1 to call (You can be sure he will)
Then, Berbelucha gets just over 5-1. If it was worth calling before (in his mind anyway) it's even more worth it now. Furthermore, you just reopened the betting for Tzar or even Ber if they just found a real hand and were praying for someone to bet.
Preflop min raises are teh suck, especially into multi-way pots. An effective raise here will leave you with too few chips to correctly release the hand on the flop so if you raise, it has to be all in. Unless you like playing fit-or-fold with 50% of your chips, that is.
Calling pretty much sucks too. Over 10% of your chips and you're playing guessing games on the flop, since lord only knows where you stand. Not to mention you add to the chances of more trailers in behind you. Ideally, you'd like to isolate against the Tzar, since he's the most likely to pay you off, and the most likely to be behind your AJ, according to your read.
So min raises suck, a real raise isn't the greatest, and calling sucks too.
All in or fold. Personally, I move for the shove.
