With no reads, no stats, no idea on how he has played, what he has called with previously etc etc etc etc etc.

I wouldn't like to say.

Give us some info then we can have some fun.

Well that's just it. He just sat down and had the table max $100. So there were no reads no nothing.

The situation was:
He raised 3x the BB. Then I re-raised him to 10x the BB and 3x his raise. He then called.

When you play someone I try to guess what they have. With no information on the player. I had to assume the most logical explanations. QQ, JJ, AK, etc...

In reality he had 77. I was a bit wierded out by that. If you hold 77 and someone does what I did, at best you are hoping for 55/45 if you give someone credit for a raise right? KK held up. But I thought thought that was odd.

Hey it happened online right so anything goes.

Well, you got the 5/10 rule for low PP and hitting sets. If the raise is less than 5% of your stack with good position, call, if it is more than 10% of your stack fold. Use judgement in between.

Then again, maybe he was a donk.

this is an automatic call.

I would have put him on AK or AQ. 77 is hard to believe.

I would have also put him on AK or a high PP. I would never have put him on 77. Although like you said,,,

,,,I played a guy who went all in with 44 and he was the chip leader. Needless to say he didn't stay that way long.

$7 call for $16 in the pot, that isnt horrible in NL.

I dont think you raised enough to take down the pot there. Which I dont think is bad, KK vs 1-2 callers is very nice. Raise min and get 4-5 callers and I get scared.

BTW-his name was "rookie", what did you expect?
