I had a simliar one on Thursday that salvaged my night. 8/16 game, fairly loose table 5 6 LP all call, I limp, family pot-9 see the flop.
Flop A Q 9 all check to me, I bet, 6-7 call.
Turn 10 checked to me, I bet, very aggressive player directly on my left raises, player next to him 3 bets, one calls, I call (painfully), other player calls-4 players in for 3 bets, I know I am up against a str8, my only hope is that no one has a bigger draw.
River 7 YES YES YES YES, I check, all check, Showdown, set vs str8 and my baby flush holds up for a $300+ pot.
