A local casino has a jackpot they call "Aces Cracked." The first time aces lose the loser wins $20. Next time it happens that night it goes up to $40. It keep increasing until getting your aces cracked pays $100, and it stays there until the casino closes for the night.
How would you play this jackpot?
At the $20 level, there's a good chance the pot will be bigger than the jackpot. However you also need to LOSE in order to get the jackpot. Nothing would suck more than checking down and having your aces hold up for a $4 monster.
However, at the later levels, when getting beat might gain you 2-3X what's in the pot, you WANT to get beat, but again, your aces might end up being good.
I like the jackpot, only thing that I dislike is the table will occationally get upset if you play your aces fast as they seem to think you should take one for the team to get the jackpot up.

Play normal poker at the lowest limit w/ a full table.

just randomly thought about this post and waht it means...say you wnat to slowplay aces so someone can crack them, IF they do crack them, you now have to check-call all the way to the river, because honestly do you think someone is going to check 2 pair or a set or whatever else will beat aces? they are going to bet, and if you dont play the hand like you normally would there is a good chance you are going to lose money...maybe more then what the jackpot is worth
just play your game and if you lose, you lose

I expect I would check or call before the flop, and bid or call (but not raise) on the flop. After that it would really depend on the table.

One of the casinos here does almost the same thing, Aces cracked earns $100 between 2 and 10 am. If I'm playing them during that time I usually just call before the flop, then depending on the flop I decide whether to play hard and try to win, or just call and hope to lose.
The other day I had Aces during that time, and thought I'd just play slow and hope to lose...but there was a raise and reraise before the flop, putting the pot at over $100 anyhow, so I figured I'd just try to win that instead, moved all in, got two callers, and won $1200 with Aces full...
Basically it all depends on the table and what everyone else does. You have to play poker one hand at a time.

Understand the texture of the board. At low limits anyway, if there's a straight or flush draw out there, somebody's chasing it.
If the jackpot is greater than the value you expect to get from the hand, let them have their free card. If not, raise them to win the pot.
