I just played in a 300 pound or $600? mtt at Vic in london tonight, only 22 runners but high buy in especially for a 18year old lol. But i decided to give it a shot as did my friend, top 4 paid. Me and my friend both played really well, he went out in 6th unfortunately losing KK to QT os . Then when down to 5 , everyone agreed that the money would be split differently , 1000 pounds to 2nd, where 2nd gets 1300 and 1st 2000. 5th place went out, i double up soon after and they all decide to split it 4 way, i agreed even though i was 2nd in chips and likely to go heads up and we split it 1325. I am happy with my play , its my 2nd biggest tournament next to the wpt and i really tried hard , i avoided the big pots and coin flips except with 88 when i called all when there was 6handed , fortunately i won and made the money.
Do you guys in america do deals when short handed? Maybe i should have said no and carried on, but oh well made 1,000 profit ,cant complain.

if i was second in chips and in good position to go heads up, you bet your ass i would have said no. im there for myself, not to make the other 3 happy. just my opinion though

I am his freind who finished 6th, bit of a joke really; played my heart out coming back from 3X the blinds at one point. Then on the last table about 7 people left, and im playing the short stack, all in all in all in, then finnally i get KK in the bb, and i cannot beleive my luck, 3 people have limped it - my all in will look like a BB attempting to take all the calls.... I move in and another short stak who had limped (god knows what he was thinking) called, flips over Q10 and flops a flush draw, turns a pair, rivers flush. I was totally pissed, i played my heart out, folded top 2 pair and top pair more than once. Made a ok stack (short.. which was not so bad.. but like 5X blinds) Then i finally get a real hand and it kills me. I think i must be cursed or something, ive made about 15 final tables this summer online mostly,.... and have suffered alot of hands like this, where im a strong fave and could well go on to win if i dont get screwed... but i get screwed and place wiht an okay amount, i could have alot more money than i currently have if not for the curse of my final tables. I can recall off the top of my head losing 99 to 77, KK to Q10 AK to AJ, AK to AQ. I'm not whinging here, but looking at the reality of it... i make alot of final tables and when i get there i often lose hands where im a strong fave. My sister keeps telling me its from God telling me this gambling is bad and its a sign that i shluld stop playing.im starting to beleive her.

I think the payouts were gonna be 4th 630, 3rd 1.3k? 2nd 1.7. 1st-2.3.
