I usually play a cash game with some buddies once every week or so. I just started college and I am too busy to have a job unless they were insanely flexible to whenever I wanted to work. So, gettting a job is pretty much out of the question. I'm a little low on money so I need a way to increase my dough on my time. I could do this by playing some cards with buddies, but they would also have to be flexible to my availability. Perfect solution...online poker. Again, since I'm low on money, I was just wondering which website/software has the lowest minimum deposit? I want to start out small.

I can only tell you about PokerStars. If you use a CC, I think it's 20-25 bucks, but if you have to use a site like neteller or firepay, it's at least 50.

Actually with Pokerstars the min deposit is $25 if you use Neteller. Other deposit methods are mostly $50. You could try sites like Royal Vegas or Crazy Poker as they give a free $10 to start out.

If your bankroll is small you also want a site that offers micro-limit tables, to allow for the variance.

Pacific I believe now allows as low as 25 bucks, and has a micro limit table selection.

These forums are very helpful. Thanks for all the input. I think I am going to go with Crazy poker or Royal Vegas like ttbtkbtaib said, for the free $10.00.

its my current home and i feel very comfortable there.. been playing about 4 months with real money.
i play mostly on the 0.02/0.04$ NL tables and $1 sng's.
when i first started i had a bit of a run and doubled that... then things went bad and i went down to about $5.... i kicked myself up the arse and sorted my act out (by reading stuff) and i built that back up to about $55... which is where i currently am at now... going to start moving up levels with the sng's though... as i have watched them right up to $10 buyin and they seem no different at all to the $1 ones. but the $1 sng's seem a world away from the 0.10$ ones.
going to wait till i have over $100 till i move up on the ring games though.. as even at the 0.02/0.04$ tables the max buyin is $8.
i am happy with this site. although i do feel as i should be getting involved in some bonuses somewhere along the way to help me along....
totally off topic... sorry... but i just felt like saying this here for some unknown reason...

cool just spotted this.
since the above post my bankroll is up to $600. i play $5 sngs. i take the odd shot at a $10 sng too. and mtt's up to $10 buyin. i hardly play ring games any more. but if i do i play 0.5/.10 NL.
i have decided that when i get to $1k i will start on the $10 sngs full time.
still not won an mtt. but made a few final tables and got a 3rd place which is so far my best result.
still dont see the point of me posting this in here but felt like i had to when i saw my last post from september.
