Foxwoods Newbie question

Posted Wed Feb 25, 2004 7:57 pm GMT by mike91911
I'm considering making the jump from online to brick and mortar. Foxwoods is the closest poker room. I believe that the lowest limit game there is a $2/$4. Is that correct? If I buy $100 worth of chips, would that be ok to sit down at $2/$4 table with? What are the denominations of the chips I would be given? I do plan on going and watching for a while but sooner or later I'll have to jump in. I've been reading alot on here and other sites about etiquette but I'll take all the help I can get.
Thanks, Mike

$100 would be fine. 50 times the small bet is about as low as you want to go which you have. AS far as they denominations I couldn't tell you. There is a guy that posts here named Groton that plays there a lot, hell he actulally worked there. Maybe he can help more.

Groton,
I'm confused about something. $2/$4 refers to the betting structure correct? What are the blinds at a $2/$4 table at Foxwoods? I was under the impression that the small blind would be $1 and the big blind would be $2.

Right..The small blind is half of the small bet, which is $2. So the small blind is $1 and the big blind is$2.

Ok, so I have the blinds right. In a reply to my original question, it says Foxwoods gives yellow $2 chips. How do I post a $1 small blind with a $2 chip. I'm sorry if these are dumb questions, I just want to know as much as possible before hand.

they likely use $1 chips for a 2/4 game.

For Smallblinds and tipping sorry forgot to add that.

i normoly just use the Two doller chip and if i fold the dealer makes the change for me .
