Is this a bad beat (or bad play)? |

I was 4th of 4 remaining in a 5 person limit SNG.
I raised pre-flop with QQ UTG and got 2 callers. The flop was 46J rainbow. I bet the rest of my stack and got 2 callers again, including the 'villain' who also called all-in.
He showed 43o and hit runner-runner 5 2 for a straight and put me out in 4th (out of the money, for the 3rd time in a row last night).
Now, maybe coming in 4th of 5 three times in a row says something about my ability, but did I do the right thing?

supafrey is 100% correct. specific bet sizes are needed in order to give you an intelligent response.

It says limit SNG. We can assume he had about 2-3 blinds, and he fired them both. Villain had about the same stack.
It's not much info, but its something atleast

Yes, as tame_deuces guessed, I had about 3 BB and got it all in as quickly as I could, raised the pot pre-flop as much as I could and had the rest in post-flop.
That pales to the suited A2 (i got it off the BB for free) I just had and hit the flush on the flop. Unfortunately, the guy to my left also hit the flush on the flop and the str8 flush on the turn.

Well with 2-3 blinds left and then you get QQ, this was the really the only play you could do in my book.
And I'd call this it a bad beat, though I understand the reckoning of villains flop call (basically 'I'm toast anyway') though I don't understand his pre-flop call.
And it was not bad play, you put your chips in when you were a favourite to win.
