Not only is he a loudmouth, but he spits when he talks, it's disgusting.

But, I would enjoy watching a heads up match between Tony G and Mike Matusow. That would be some good TV.

Personally, it doesn't bother me too much when people talk standard trash, "I'm gonna destroy you so bad, I'll take all your chips, etc". Anyone rattled by that type of talk is probably wound too tight to play Poker well anyway. What I can't stand is people who berate the play of others. I.e. "how can you call that you %^$^%$ suckout, ur such a lucky biotch" or "that was a total amateur play" or "I'm a much better player than you." That's just unsportsmanlike and rude. Tony G's talk is much less annoying to me than the likes of Josh Arieh or Phil Hellmuth.

It's kind of sadistic, but I think I wouldn't mind talking to a guy like that on the table. I think I could handle his table demeanor... you either just completely shut up or you kind of joke back at him... say something like "Well, the first thing you need to do is get yourself a treadmill" then slap him in the back.

I don't mind a smack talker, it's kind of a hoot. It's even better if you can get them to get worse and worse until they are frothing at the mouth. My personal goal with any smack talker is to get them to hit me, so I can hit them back and not get in any trouble.

When its a stupid ploy - like it is with Tony G, all smack talk all the time - my favorite thing to do is leave the table after a big pot. If it's a tournament, I like to talk back, if I can spare the attention.

If someone spits on me talking, more then once or so, I'm calling a pit boss, something I'll also do with someone who's filthy or stinking or eating like a slob. . . and a guy like that better not touch me with a hand he plans on dealing with.

Not to mention any sort of string bet or stall or miss call or anything at all I can be a pain in the ass over.

Basically, my position as King Ahole at a table is not up for usurption, period.

LOL nice! This guy is my least favourite poker player to watch by far. Too annoying to handle.

I’ve only caught a few minutes of him on TV once (he was heads up against Tony Bloom in a website sponsored tourney), he wasn’t chatting sh*t then so I must have caught in a rare window of silence Smile

Yeah I've noticed too, but then I guessed that he probably must've been warned by the tournament or tv network or whatever, because being silent is definately not his game.

Unlike WPT where they probably welcome this, since it's "good tv".
