I've not posted in a while, because I was really happy with my Nevada Jacks Dead Man ceramics. However, clay chips are now calling my name and I cannot decide if I'd rather buy a set of the new Paulson T & C (Classic Denomination) or a set of the Nevada Jacks Martini Club.

Paulson's are a little more expensive around .99 per chip versus .80 per chip for Martini Clubs.
Sometimes we'll play .50/1 cash games or 1/2 limit cash games, so the problem with my decision lies in the .25 cent denomination. Paulson T&C lacks this denomination. Will they make this chip denomination? Any insight? Also inteested in opinions or other ideas.

If you like the paulsons, you can also checkout the Pharoah's at either www.apachepokerchips.com or www.holdempokerchips.com. These are the same paulson chips but they have a different inlay that comes with a .25 denom as well as NCV versions.

I like the colors and the appearance of the Martini Club, but as they're Blue Chip, the inlays will somtimes (often?) be off-center and malformed.
I dislike the Paulson colors and mold enough that my vote would have to be for the NJ Martini Clubs.

Oh, as far as your denomination woes, you could always play cents-as-dollars and get $25, $100 and $500 chips.

Neither!
Get your own custom chips. Here are the ones I got from pokerchips.com:

Or if you have a huge budget, you could get some blue chip customs (the company that makes the martini club chips).

I ended up purchasing a set of the new Inplay Poker Chips from buypokerchips.com.

I am extremely pleased with these chips (above my expectations), in fact they are very amazing. Slightly lighter than Paulson, but seriously was not even noticed by my friends. I will say some of the colors on the chips I did order were not so strong (i.e. the .25c and $10 chips) so I'm exchanging them with no problem from the company. The quarter chips are military colors and were not what I expected. The $1 chip is very HOT- The $5 and $25 are similar in color to other chips in the market place but are very nice. The feel is very, very good. I had no chips with bad or off-center labels (atleast none noticed by me). The mold with the cigar and brandy glass is really classy- Anyone who wants to spend the money on these chips would be doing themselves justice. Highly recommended chips-

I wouldn't buy either one of them. First of all, I think the mold for the Trademark Paulsons is ugly, regardless of what inlay may be pressed into them. It's the mold for the chip that I don't like, while it resembles the Paulson house mold, there's something about it that makes it look unfinished.
I wouldn't pay retail for any chip from Blue Chip, almost all of them are way overpriced for what they are. While their inlays have a reputation for being poorly aligned, they also manage to distort the circular shape of the inlays. For the most part, if you're paying more than 50-60¢ for a chip that originated from Blue Chip, you're probably paying too much (unless it cost $1 and came from the cashier's cage in a casino :D ). If you want some nice looking chips from Blue Chip, take a look at the current $1 house rack chips from the Peppermill Casino in Reno.

Can't say I agree w/ PR.....That is why there are lots of chips available for consumer purchase. I'm seriously happy with the InPlay chips and the feedback I've received has been very, very good. These are top of the line chips- :D
Though I do like the Vineyards, not the commeratives (I dislike that mold) and those way too much $$

Don't get me wrong, in spite of all the negative remarks about the poor quality of chips from Blue Chip, I really do like their flame molds. It's the only compression molded chip that you can put a label on if you can find the blank chips. I just won't pay the inflated prices that many resellers want after the chip has gone through a couple of mark-up cycles in the channel. I don't know which Vineyards you were referring to, but if it is the ones that were from the closed cardroon, those are Paulsons (which are also way overpriced from having been resold too many times on eBay); the only ones that were made Blue Chip are the Commoratives. The other copies were made by Chipco for Acepokerchipcompany (Paulson Chips on this site.) So if it's the real Vineyards that you don't like, then you're one of the few people who don't seem to like the TH&C mold, though I'm sure there are others who prefer other molds as well.
