Question about good Blinds/starting chips

Posted Thu Feb 26, 2004 3:28 pm GMT by mcfly6986
We have small NL hold em tournaments at home. Sometimes we have as few as 3-6 players. What would a good starting chips count be for each player (with chip increments please - ex. 50 $1, 25 $5, 25 $10)???

Also what would good blind structures be and how often should we be increasing them.... and at what point, if any, should we stop increasing them?

As you can see I have a lot of questions please respond.

Thanks

50 chips of your initial big blind value (e.g. 10) 10 chips for your initial small blind value (e.g. 5), and 10 chips of some higher denom... like twice the big blind (e.g. 20).

starting blind values could be the smallest main chip value (the one each player gets 50 of) you decide to use (e.g. 10 for big blind and 5 for small blind).

you could then double them every hour... or if you wanted a quicker game... every half hour, 15min, etc. you get the idea... the quicker the blinds double, the faster the game.
