Just got back from there. Thought anyone living or travelling nearby might be interested; they have a smokin' poker room. 25 tables. They deal everything from 2/4 to 30/60 FL, 1/2 and 3/6 NL, Omaha. Daily tournaments. Full on Sun. afternoon, busy on Mon. afternoon, I think you could pretty much get a game there anytime.
I wasn't there to play poker, but did get a couple short low limit sessions in. Ended up $40. Mostly very loose apparently uninformed and unobservant players both days, playing any ace, any face, any suited etc. from any position, willing to pay you off even after seeing you not play a hand for 2 rounds. Fish doesn't even quite describe it... What's worse than a fish? Unfortunately BC law does not allow casinos to promote gambling therefore everything including drinks is full price at all times. Except coffee, the coffee's free.
The property is very nice, most of the usual amenities; pool, spa, large casino, lounges, a decent and pretty cheap restaurant etc. No shopping but convenient to Vancouver. Nice rooms, all mini suite, 2 TVs, minibar, cheap room service.
So if you're in the area, might want to check it out, one of the busier poker rooms I've seen anywhere.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

:D Had I known... had no idea you're a Vancouverite.
Yeah, wow, that place is really something. Is it always that busy?
