Deeirun is terrible. How he or she is able to compete at those blinds, I'll never know.

It's a Friday, 15 minutes before I left work for home. After a long week, my brain stops working. However, I stand by the fact that the villian is a terrible player. :D

Villian had a small pp on the BB and called for the cost of another blind. I don't like this min raise with KK in EP preflop. He easily could have put you on two overs and thought he had the best hand when the low flop hit. Not the way I would have played 5s, though.
Sorry mate ...

I dropped about 4K a couple of hands earlier on another bad beat so I must admit I was tilting a little.
The table was starting to tighten up with pre-flop raises usually taking down the pot. I’d just been hit hard and saw an opportunity to make it back quick, so I risked a mini raise because I was panicky/greedy
I hate trying to maximise profit with high pocket pairs UTG. Raise too high and you end up just picking up the blinds, to low and you might end up with multiple callers.
In this situation I agree that I risked letting in 99, 66 and 22. So I could have been stung badly. I hoped that he might have called with Axs or a couple of face cards.

Indeed I was hoping this might be the case The low raise had some deception value at least.
I wouldn’t say I played the hand very well, but it is a bad beat.
