What are the rules ?? guidelines for what you can bring to a live table...I have seen players on TV with headphones, others reading books, etc..
Can you do this at the casino? What about a little pocket notebook to write down your hands or keep player notes?

I know that the WPT and WSOP have banned head phones. As for casinos, I have seen everything from notebooks, to walkmans.. no cell phones of course. My guess is that each casino has its own rules, try it until they tell you to stop.

i'm not sure about the poker tables, but I've been at Beaux Rivage in MS and had taken my watch off, which I then placed on the table at BlackJack. The pit boss came over nicely enough and looked the watch over and complimented me on it...then asked that I either wear it or put it in a pocket. 
another instance was at the Mirage in LV and my wife and I were carrying around a digital camera (in it's case)... we stopped at a Roulette table and laid the case on the table. The dealer here stopped the game and was quite rude about the fact that we had it on the table.

The watch I can see . . . it could have a camera in it or be a radio or something . . .but who cheats at roulette? Other then maybe palming a chip on or off, how could you?
