Small Bad Beat

Posted Sat Feb 28, 2004 4:00 am GMT by Triad
Playing 5 handed in a rather tight group I get dealt QQ in late position. The group has a tenancy to fold on raises before the flop so I slow play and just call. Flop comes 33A and I had a feeling I may have been beat by the A but I put out a feeler bet of 4 bucks. (NL by the way) There were 3 of us left and one folds after the bet, the other guy raises over the top of me for 5 more. I should have folded but I went all in...and lost to A3. He flopped the boat....and slow played me. I felt like a fool.

Oh well.

He slow played the boat, but you had to know he had the trips OR the aces . . .

uhh, not really a bad there so yea. but i see what your saying. i usually never just call with Q's. because any Ace or king will beat you. make those people with any Ace or King pay to see the flop.
