In heads up, my friends and I have always had the button as big blind and the other player as small. This makes sense if you consider that the small blind is supposed to be the player to the left of the button, which would make the dealer big blind. I was watching WPT today and noticed that the player on the button was small blind and the other player was big. Which way is it supposed to be? Thanks

In head's up play the button places the small blind and is first to act in the first betting round and last to act in the remaining three.

I agree with Tame. But for some reason when cash games at party go HU the button is in the BB and acts last every round. In tourneys it's the done the correct way.
