I won my first big tourny the other night on ab poker. Whats really kind of cool is that it was in seven card stud hi/lo which I've only played a couple of times. A field of 2000 players. When we got to the final three I had 2000k to the other players 100k.
On the downside... it was a freeroll so first prize was only $10. LOL. for 5 hours of work. Still, it was kind of fun to actually win won with a big field.

Way to go Soup. $10 win is better then a $10 lose. Who cares that it took you 5 hours. Where else can you have 5 hours of fun and entertainment and not spend any money?

Congrats.
If you like Stud Hi/Lo you should check out Pokerstars. They run either a $10 or $20 MTT every day (or close to everyday) that gets about 200 entrants.... and by entrants I mean people who enjoy donating money.
First place usually takes close to $1K. These are very easy to win. I have about 7 or 8 top 3 finishes.

That's exactly what I am doing. Since $10 isn't much for playing no limit, I thought I would try some limit hold-em... even though I have never really spent time playing it.
So far I have turned the $10 into $100. Dave B, why did you never tell me how easy this limit stuff is? LOL. I just need to watch for the downturn and play my bankroll wisely.
BTW, congrats on your tourny win! Was fun to read!
