Hi
I am currently on my way to the only casino in Stockholm
to "Break my cherry" in terms of real Texas hold'em, apart
from on-line gambling.
I have kind of fallen in love with the game, and think that it
offers more than both back gammon and chess (i used to
devote a lot of time to chess).
The beauty with the game is the balance between the predictability
(pot odds, statistical facts) and unpredictability(any nutcase can have
fluke and draw 3 straight flushes in a row)
The cons with my home town is that the cheapest table availible
is a 15$/30$ game (a bit to stiff, really)
The pros is that i've been there a couple of times observing and
since it's the first legal casino the game is new. (obviously there is
a number of dodgy illegal, basement clubs mainly frequened by the
semi-mafia ). After my survey i find that the online gameing holds
a much higher quality. i'ts like compairing Swedish and American
baseball.
My plan is to go in and play extremly tight and gain as much
experience as possible. I've done my final read-through and
hope that Warren and Sklanskys souls are with me tonight.
(shit, i fell like i'm confessing to a catholic priest).
SO if any one has any good advice i would gladly adopt it.

Quick advice?
Just watch the other players, keep your eyes open for tells, and buy in for more than you need (gives you a more powerful image at the table... says "I'm here to get a job done")
Other than that, you got it. Play tight, and keep your eyes open for the fools.
