hello, just have a ? about a hand that i recently had in a game. i had Q-4 of hearts in my hand. the other player had k-3 of hearts. the flop went j-A-5 of hearts. the next two cards went spade then another heart. we both have a flush. if we both use just one of our cards along w/ the community cards, don't we both have an A high flush, and split the pot. Or does he win w/ the second highest card K of hearts.

He wins because of the second higher card. The only way two players cant split the pot on a flush is if both players play the board.

So lets say player A has 75 with the 7 of hearts
player B has 65 with the 6 of hearts
If the board is A,K,2,8,4 of all hearts player a would win with the 7 of hearts or would it be split pot.?

Player A wins.
Each player takes the best five cards from the 5 comm. cards and the two in their hands.
If the board read: AKT98, it would be split.

The only time a flush is split is if both players hole cards are lower than the ones on the board.
Example:
Board A K T 8 7
Player A: A 2
Player B: A 3
Any other time, the player with the next highest suit in hand wins.
