I wasnt even sure if my boat would be good if i hit. Can all 3 really have hit the gutshot or did one have a set on the flop? Talk about a table of fish, I guess that is why I am up over $300 on 3/6 table on 2.5 hours.

i hate to be so results oriented ... the title of the thread says it all
i think in the long haul you made the right call ... somebody may have a set here every now and then so you're boat may only be good if the 8 hits giving you 2 outs ... not to mention the terrible pot odds your getting (i mean, you have to call 3 bets here) ... id be more inclined to say you'd have better odds if you check raised the flop and got more money in the pot
i'm sure suited will be along shortly to provide perfect pot odd calculations

It was only 12 to call, I was already in for one bet. W/ 4 outs and one card to come, I had needed about $150 at the end (using implied odds) to call $12.
Final pot was $130, I could have maybe got a check raise, one if these dopes would bet when the board paired.
Sometimes I will make this call-just because the cards were hitting. I had a 7 4 earlier, flopped a str8, turned a str8 flush. I had the chips to gamble with-but I know that isnt smart to take risks just because you can.

Yes, but I've found that you'll get paid more when you're holding a monster when you show down with a "miracle" gambling hand occasionally.
I think you made the correct play in folding. There were too many people in the pot for one of them not to have hit a better hand.
