Home games are funner after a six pack

Copying other people's styles, I cross postd this from my blog...

I earned a bunch of money online today and decided to head out to a friend of mine's house to play some small buy in cash games. My friend Adrian informed me that they play fairly "serious" despite the low stakes (5 bucks for 15 in chips) so I decided that my only possible course of action was thus:

The more serious they play, the more drunk I must play in turn.

A six pack and a half a dozen shots later, I played thusly:

2nd hand of the game I decide to raise with low suited gappers, because, well, I'm awesome. Flop comes two of my suit, and I raise someone huge. They reraise and I find myself all in. No dice on my draw.

-5 bucks.

The nearly IDENTICAL situation happens to me 3-4 hands later.

-10 bucks.

A dozen hands or so later, the same thing happens against my other friend. Again, no dice on my flush draw.

-15 bucks.

Allright.. so I'm sitting here several buyins down, but having a blast with the few litres of Shlitz and rum + random liqour in me...

I keep on trying to steal blinds, when the host's boyfriend shows up to play. Almost immediately I put him on the LAG style that a few drinks and cockiness brings about. He raises to 8-12 times the big blinds just to steal family pots, etc. He stole my raise off me with a nice reraise at one point, and I'm just waiting for my chance. (My drunken chance, but my chance nonetheless).

Anyways.. I'm dealt 46s in middle position or so. My new best friend Dan calls, as does BF aggro. I decide to raise to 5x the big blind. Everyone folds to dan, who decides to call. Aggro bf then decides to raise to 10 bucks. (20x the big blind). Being the stud that I am, I ponder for a few seconds and decide to raise all in. At this point I have worked my way up with some nice pots and have exactly 27.75 in chips left, meaning I raise for an additional 17.75. Dan calls for 9 bucks or so, and the BF starts pondering. Being my usual drunk and social self, I taunt with the best of them.. (I knew he was just trying to buy em) and BF decides to fold with about 26 bucks in chips left.

(I knew it)

Either way, Dan flips over his ATo and I'm a nice dog.

Flop brings a 6 and two hearts (my suit) and I've paired up and drawing to the flush. Turn brings nothing, and the river brings a nice 5h to flush me up. Dan laughs it off and I rake in a huge pot.

Either way, after that I slowly steamroll the game and end up about 4 buyins in ADDITION to the 4 I've already put in. For your info, nobody else bought in more than twice, especially not as fast as I did. I just thought it would be a good time.

It's weird when despite your best efforts you still end up a bit of money.

First off, those beers made that 47s look like it had amazing potential...

Secondly, a friend dropped me off at home =)

Thirdly, yeahh... some people were about half an hour late so I decided to have a head start while everyone else was mingling. I decided to talk with a beer in my hand and never let it go empty... Confused
