the biggest tell that i alwasy try to pick up on is the betting patterns. all i ever do is try to determne whether they're either trying to take the pot right there or try to build the pot.

I can never remeber the betting patterns. I always try, but can't seem to remember. Once I tried writting them down, but when people saw it, they started switching it up.

i just try to develop a sense of how my opponents bet along with one or 2 memorized hands. then i just play the hand in front of me, if it feels good i bet, if not i check/fold

Play online for a while, and you'll get a good sense of how to play off of betting patterns in your head. It helps because there are not very many other tells in online games.
