Min bet into a raised pot

What do you typically decide is the motive behind a very small, even min bet into a raised pot on the flop? Top pair, draw? Monster?

Curious, I've seen my share of each lately, my read has been a little shaky the last week or so. Normally I decide it's a draw or if the flop brings paint it's a feeler bet from a guy out of position (sometimes a guy with a pocket pair will lead out in this fashion as well). Is this a fairly safe assumption if the player is unkown? Is the correct play most of the time to raise and then slow down if the player in turn calls?

It seems lately when I've decided to do this I get unexpected results, the player will either smooth call and then lead out on the turn for no obvious help or check raise me on the turn. There are times when I'm in a bad spot due to a strong hand and I'm completly lost now.

Example:

I raise with AKos

Flop comes:

K Heart 4 Club 5 Club

Villain leads out for min bet, I reraise the pot he calls.

Turn is 9 Diamond

He leads out for the pot now, he could have K9 but I don't think that card hit him, he's either got a weak king or the flush draw in my mind. He's put nearly half his chips in now and nearly half of mine and I have no idea where I am anymore. It's still early in the tourney and I have no read on him.

With this information what would you think?

SNG I move all in and take my chances

Multi, I fold. I think I am still ahead, but why bother, I only have a pair.

Think about it this way, if you bet pot, then he calls, why would he lead out again for so many chips w/ a monster? wouldnt he check raise? Would he believe that you bet POT to buy a free card on a draw? That is the only reason for the freeze bet. So unless he has a read on you, I think he is just bluffing.
