not sure how to post hand history so i will try my best and do it manually.
i was waiting for a sng to start last night and thought i would try a low limit ring game while i waited .5/.10 £10 buy in, second hand i get J Q in lp.
only the second hand so no reads on players exept the previous hand saw one guy i will call him villian raise 4xbb with 7 2 and won hand on flush lol.
anyway back to my hand flop comes back
5 6 J
i raise villain comes back over the top and puts me all in to call i think about what he had last hand and think his bets a bit over the top and decide to call with top pair and a flush draw,
turn rag river J
i take pot with set of jacks he turns over 5 6
he says man your a terrible player, before i could respond i get transfered to the sng. was this such a terrible play ? im not sure. should add was only there to kill a bit of time till sng started which i won as well £10 8 man turbo for $40 :D

Try and space it out a little bit more when doing it manually, makes it easier to read.
As for the hand, it was a good play IMO.
For the hand he had, bottom 2 pair, you had 13 outs to hit no counting a running pair to counterfit his hand.
So.... you had a 48% chance of winning this hand. So as long as the pot was giving you even money or better, which it definitly is, you made a good play.
PS. Welcome to the forum

The guy you played was a jerk. Personally remember his name and look for him again. He sounds like a great money source.

Top pair with flushdraw is a no-brainer call under most circumstances.

I don't think it was a terrible play at all.
One thing you didn't mention was whether or not there was any preflop action and the size of the pot and bets. It doesn't make a great deal of difference because I still think you played the hand correctly. I'm just trying to decide if he called a preflop raise with 56o and had the nerve after you beat him to call you a terrible player.
Also, what site was this and do you remember his screen name?

thanks for all the replies, as im not very experienced yet (only been playing 6 months) and someone calls my play terrible i would like to know why they thought it was, i thought he was been an idiot, thanks for confirming this for me. as for preflop action there was one bet preflop and that was by me as there was several limpers before me, i thought i would build the pot incase my hand hit, again was this the right decision?.
so yes he did call a raise preflop with 56o.
beerwench it was on pacific and i have made a note of the guys name im at work at the mo so dont have it with me but if you would like it let me know and i will give it to you.
thanks again

Fish is brain food.

Absolutely. I'd have done the same. If you hit, then the pot is bigger, and you may be able to take the pot right then with only limpers ahead of you.
And, thanks for the offer. I usually only play on FT but I'll let you know if I change over and need that information.
