Pre-Flop: Fold

Flop: Good continuation bet with a open ended straight.

Turn: Didn't hit your straight so you get to see the river for free.

River: If you're gonna bluff at it, you gotta bet more that $7 into an $18 pot. The check behind on the turn tells him that you missed the flop and your hand is weak. The bet on the river was also weak. So...

1) Not a good hand to start with in MP.

2) I think you played it fine until the river. I would have checked behind again and seen what he had or fired out a pot sized bet for a bluff.

I don't know if I like the preflop raise with QJo when you are fresh at the table...better to know the players a little before raising with a somewhat questionable hand.

I like the flop bet, you are representing the king, but when you take the free card on the turn I think it would have been better to be done with the hand when you didn't hit...a tricky villain could reraise with a wide range hand of here, figuring you for a busted draw.

Checking the turn/raising the river is a disaster. You basically said you tried to buy the pot on the flop since you didn't fire a second barrell on the turn, and that river no way helped you. Villain could have nothing- but at least he knows you have nothing Razz
