Bad Beat!

Posted Mon Nov 14, 2005 5:35 pm GMT by Thorpe
I was holding Ah 4h, opponent raised twice the big blind(loose player) and I called.

Flop was 2h 7h 3h.

The guy comes out betting and I re raise with my nut flush and he calls.

Turn was a 7c

The guy bets even more so I figure hes got 7s and put him all in and he calls. Turns out he had 7d 9c.

So I am extremely confident(dont know the odds of me winning)

River is a 7, I had more chips so I didnt go out but it was extremely annoying!

That is ugly. And about 1,035 to 1 to happen again so rest easy that you probably won't see it again for a good few years Wink

Ouch.

A similar situation happened to me in a tourney I hosted. I flop the nut flush (K high-the A was on the board), bet it, get a raiser, I reraise all-in and he calls with his AA (that he limped with preflop) and the board pairs on the turn. Oh well, what do you do but hope that this doesn't happen again.

Sorry about your beat man. Those kind hurt.
