Thanks Nut Flush for the info and site address.

" The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa features live Poker and hot gaming machines including all your favorites; like Wheel of Fortune, Little Green Men, Double Diamond, Red, White & Blue, Double Wild Cherry, and American Heritage. The casino is open 24-hours a day seven days week and averages daily payouts of $7,000,000. In addition to the hot gaming machines, the Seminole Hard Rock also has incredible live poker action. The minimum age to play our casino games is 18 years."

Good thing it's 18 since i'm only 19.

Have fun with it. 1-2 limit Laughing Thats about as low as you can get. I mean if thats all you can afford then great. But i know that place is a joke. Tourneys would be the only thing realy worth playing. Atleast to me...

Aaron,

1-2 is the lowest you'll get in 99% of casinos.
It's hard to find stuff below 3-6 here.

i believe thats the only limit the state of Fla Lets.

Im sure there got to be one of them cruise to no where boats that leaves
from Tampa or somwhere around there might be a better bet if they have a poker room.

i know there is one from Port Canarval but thats the other side of Fla.
I dont live in Fla just have some relatives down there.
and i used that option and it was preaty nice night out.

You are all correct. Here in the lovely sunny state of Florida, the maximum bet on any poker hand is $2. So you either play $1/$2 limit or the "high roller" $2 straight :D It used to be worse though, prior to the $2 max there was a max limit on the pot of $10 Shocked

The Hard Rock Tampa has MTT and also STT so it shouldn't be too bad.

I don't know of any boats that go out of Tampa but the Port Canaveral one does have higher limits than $1/$2 once you get out into open water, 3 miles I think. But as mentioned before, that's quite a drive from Tampa.

Also, just because it's $1/$2 doesnt' mean you can't turn a profit. I've never played in Tampa but I play at the dog track near my house and I've been to the Seminole Casino in Immokalee a few times and the games are very easy to beat. At the dog track, I try and find a table with a good percentage of senior citizens at the table. They are all locals there for "social time" and could care less about winning money as long as they have fun.

My suggestion, take $100 and go play. If anything, it's worth it to get comfortable sitting at a live table instead of in front of a computer screen.

There is a boat that goes out of St. Petersburg, not to far from tampa. Figure it'll have higher limit but with daily tournys at the hard rock im sure those will do fine.

Those tourneys are horrible. 1500 starting chips, 50/100 blinds to start, and think Ultra Turbo. No poker playing, just an all-in fest.

THANKS! So i'll stick with the tounrys, Not sure how much of an all-in fest a 10 person 1 table tourny will be but i guess i'll have to find out for myself!
