Final Table 2005 WSOP

Awesome! Or, rather, Aussie! Man, here's a guy who came back from 2.5 million in chips... last outta 8 (10)? to also out last the chip leaders and very good Andrew Black. Why the crying in the last episode?

It's definitely funny to see someone win the event with 7 Spade 3 Club ... now if he can only do this back to back with that hand.

I think the moment that really hit me was when they laid out the money on the other table... everytime they cut to it I just kept saying to myself "Holy S Spade Heart Diamond ! Good to see that they've kept up the tradition of the money presentation by having men armed with shotguns lead the pack.

man watching the wsop has changed my life in regard to action movies where the ransom fits in a briefcase.

I love the dramatic epic music they use at the beginning of the segment. Sounded like an epic battle of sorts. Though the cool guitar riff is tough to beat.

All of that money was sickening. Like really... 17 boxes to bring it all out. And after most of the boxes were emptied on a POKER TABLE they had to be carefull to fit the rest on!!! Shocked Personally if i'm the winner and theres that much money, I want them to take a picture of me laying down on the table with only my head visable underneath the piles of money. Also major props to the Aussie for taking it down when for a long while he was the shortstack. So heres the question then...

You've just won 7.5 million dollars for first place, what is the first thing you buy/do with your new riches?

I literally got home last night in time to see the last card being turned over.

I sure hope they replay it sometime so I have a chance to watch! Rolling Eyes

This was really a great tournament. I was flat glued to the TV for the entire main event. Kudos to the producers for what I see as really maturing coverage.

^^I agree, I think the coverage this year was really good this year too. Did anyone else notice that after the 9-10pm showing of the final, they did a repeat of the final 4 from 10-11pm?

I was not too happy with the coverage. I wish every hand they would show who was in the blinds and what the blinds were.

They never did this in the previous tables to the final table.

It wa an awesome tornament. Gotta love Dannemann (sp?) and his different approach to things. He reminds me a little bit of Bill Murray. Laughing

Who was the "victim" and who was the "culprit" in the Mouth vs. Sheik battle? From what I saw (which was only the last few episodes), and probably my prejudice from seeing the Mouth being a total jackass previously, I was rooting for Sheik. He seemed to be reacting more to the Mouth just being a total jerk.

Opinions? How did it start? Can someone enlighten me?

Sheikh is the same as Arieh from last year as far as I am concerned and I was so glad to see Matusow bust him. I'm a big fan of the Mike though.......
