Here are a few stud hands for the kiddies. Wondering which situations should I raise in, etc. Thanks for any and all advice, crticism, insight, and general ramblings.
Should I have taken command of the pot once my board paired 8's, or did I make the right move by waiting until I made my draw?

Oh boy here we go ...
First hand, I think you played it well, the 8 on 5th is kind of unfortunate since it puts you to act first, which means if you go for a check/raise you may miss a round of betting altogether, I would've gone for a check raise on 6th though, both zigfelt and rromeo caught cards that probably helped out their hands (or they're already married to two pair)
Second hand, checking when you have a pair on the board is a big mistake ... even though it doesnt match anything, you should bet here IMO, you've got an overcard + your flush draw. I really dislike check/calling with the weak two pair though, either get more aggressive with it or fold it.
Third hand is almost playable, obviously you're two 'immediate' straight cards are dead, but if you catch a 10 or a 6, all the jacks and fives are still live. Only one of your pair cards is dead, and you have a two flush with only 1 dead card ... I'd play this one to 4th, maybe even to a raise if theres a caller or two. But if you brick 4th, throw the hand away.
Fourth hand, this is kind of player dependent here, but I think calling when you're opponent may have caught a boat is fine. The fact that he brought his hand in means he may or may not have a 7 or a duece in the hole to start with. But I'm a v@gina sometimes.
Fifth hand, bet on 6th is fine, you have a pair bigger than his 7s, he'd need a king or ten in the hole, or a bigger pair to be beating you here ... you may want to check/call the river, but betting is fine too.

i say hand 3 stay in for 4th hand and if u get an open ender than u can stay in unless your cards get too dead

I didn't see anything 'donkish' from you. Then again, we only played about 15 or 20 hands. 
Just kidding. It was nice to actually sit down and recogninze someone from the forum. I've only done that one other time when I bumped into nickhow over at fulltilt.
