I have been reading a couple of books.
Warren:Texas hold'em poker
Sklansky: Texas hold'em for advanced players
It's seems that Warren recommeds a much tigher
play with the opening hands.
With out to much experience it seems like
Warrens teories are much more up-to-date.
Does anyone have any other recomendations
on good litterature, that you can
apply on low limit online hold'em?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I like Gary Carson's "Hold 'Em Poker", it has excellent advice for low-limit. Also, Brunson's "Super System" is essential to any poker player's library, though it isn't necessarily specific to low-limit holdem. There's another one that I don't have, but I browsed through it...Carson, what is that? It had "low limit" in the title?

Poker Nation by Andy Bellin is a pretty good read. He doesn't go into online play much, however he does have stats info and some pretty good stories.

I am also reading Sklansky's Advanced Hold 'em book. I find that it is too technical for me. . . .Not a very easy read.
I read the Hold 'em section in Phil Hellmuth's book Play Poker Like the Pros. This book is a much easier read and gives you a nice tight but agressive way to play the game. I have used these strategies so far and they have faired well online as well as in live poker games.
Happy reading,
TT

I've been playing poker for quite a long time but nothing too serious. I've played with my friends at first and I was preety good, so I went to play online. At first I had troubles (a lot) but than I somehow find my way. All this was self-thought.
Now, I would like to get more serious. I am not a total beginner, but I havent read any book yet. So, does anyone have any suggestions about where do I start? Shall I start reading some books or something that is on the web? Which book do you recomend for a beginner? I would like to learn about different tactics.
Thank you, seeing forward to reply....
