This sucked, but was there anything I should have done differently? Move all in preflop maybe. Was it a terrible call on his part or did he have reason to considering pot odds and he fact that he was big stacked. This one pissed me off real bad. Thanks.

You played it great and ran into a donk. Shit happens. Next time just laugh at the fool who makes that call.

i don't know what is best, easy money and some bad beats when playing with weak players...or harder money playing with poker-aces and no bad beats...

It depends on your playing style. Weak players tend to think you're bluffing every hand and don't like to fold. If you like to bluff and push people around, you'll want to play strong players. If you like playing premium stuff, play weak players.

this actually hurt my head. god that's horribly wrong.
If you like to bluff and push people around, you should play weak players.

You can bluff a strong player once in a while, because if you usually doesn't bluff he will probably respect you enough to credit you with a very strong hand. Typical example is the set bluff on the turn to push a solid player off an overpair,TPTK etc. But it will only work if you have a solid image and he is a good, solid player. And make no mistake...a solid player WILL do this to you too, so don't feel like the hottest thing to have hit poker since <some name> just because it worked.
But to suggest you can bluff a 'strong' player repeatedly is very wrong. If a player is the least bit strong he will raise or call you any day of the week when he feels you have passed over that 'suspicious' line where it seems you claim to have a hand all the time.
To even suggest that you can push a strong player around shows a dangerous misconception of what a strong player is.
Weak/tight is not strong.

Oops, sorry. Maybe I'm not using the right terms. It's been my experience that most bad players don't fold. You can't bluff someone that won't fold.

Yeah, what tame_deuces said. I just phrased it horribly wrong. When you bluff correctly against a stronger player, the other player is going to give some thought about what you might have. The weaker player isn't even going to think about what you might have.

Let me rephrase Supa's point: try your best, regardless of style, to play weak players.
