How to approach this game?

I played in an interesting live game a week or so ago NL..SNG style. basically this is the setup...beginning with me and proceeding towards the right.

1.) Yours truly

2.) An incredibly aggressive player, prone to bluffing and re-raising with nothing at all. Regularily plays high stakes NL games online and as far as I can tell a good player. Limps too much into pots but also suffers from FPS (fancy play syndrome) and will limp with killers at occasions.

3.) A very weak/passive player. Very rarely bets without having solid hands, almost never raises preflop and is easily pushed out of pots.

4.) A tricky NL regular. Can just as well slowplay huge hands as raise with them. Has a conservative hand selection and is not afraid of pushing all-in if he figures he has the best hand.

5.) A 'cheap' action junkie. Likes nothing better than to limp with something and nutpeddle if he hits. Somewhat solid postflop, weak preflop
.
6.) A total lag. We are probably talking vpip in the fifties and aggression factor from beyond. Will raise _alot_ preflop and often push with questionable hands. More often than not he will re-raise almost any bets made postflop and he loves nothing more than bluffing and showing off his hand afterwards.

As you might see, I'm squeezed in the middle between the two players who will go into pissing contests in alot of flops, while the prime targets for pushing and bluffing are both one aggro away from me.

What would your hand ranges be from different positions and how would you attack different situations?

I'll pose a few scenarios, just answer the ones you find interesting if you wish:

1.) Hero is UTG+1 with ATo. Number 6 raises 3xBB to me.

2.) Hero is UTG with 88. Raises 3x, folds to number 6 who pushes. Even stacks, about 30xBB each.

3.) Hero is on the button with 77. Average stacked at 20xBB. Number 2 is bigstacked with about 40xBB. Hero raises 4x. Number 2 pushes from the SB.

4.) Hero is in the BB. Number 2 raises 3x, number 4 calls, number 6 re-raises 10x. I find TT. Assume average stacks for all and 50ish BB.

5.) Hero is in the CO and has limp/called a raise from number 2 with 89s. Flop comes unders with two of my suit. Both evenly stacked. Line?

6.) Hero holds AQo UTG. Raises 4xBB Folds to number 6 in the BB who pushes. Line? Even average stacks. Around 20-25BB mark.

7.) Hero holds AK on the button. Number 4 raises 4xBB to me. Line? Even and average stacks. Around the 20-25BB mark.

But I'm not just asking these specific scenarios really, but any opinions you have on the general line of play would be interesting. Smile

OOps, edited a little. The details are a little murky since it was a live game, but I think it is about right.

6 i fold
7 I call, if he checks I make a 1/2-2/3rd pot bet. If I hit the flop and he raises, reraise the pot.

This is a cash game? Anyway assuming it is I’d say this in regard to the medium pocket pair hands.

Fold.

If I was short stacked and in a good position I might consider an all-in raise with a medium PP because it has some fold equity, in a calling situation you have none even though you’re risking the same large amount.

If I raise and someone comes back over the top all-in I’ll rarely call unless I have a premium hand. Why race here? Wait for a better edge. Even if he’s got JTs and thinks he’s on a bluff, he’s still only about a 45% dog. So your likely a fractional favourite (he’s holding two overcards) or a big underdog (he’s got a higher pocket pair).
