I like it.

Ok, it's a good play, but Doosky obviously has A2o or maybe even A2s so any bet probably gets him to fold since he figures you were not dumb enough to be drawing to a flush lower than his and figures you for the Js.

J Spade was on board.

If anything, I'd put Salche on two pair on the turn (JT) based on the action, although I might try a check-raise to really sell it there. You might even win the pot without seeing the river.

so you're suggesting c/r the turn?

what should my line be if he checks behind and then

a. river blanks totally
b. river gives me a straight
c. river gives me a flush

Bet half the pot in all three instances. If he raises:

a) fold
b) push
c) call

I don't like a C/R here.

If villain has a legitimate strong hand we're spewing even more chips with nothing and we'll still most likely have to call for our own now improved draw.

If villain has a questionable hand and it goes check/check he may be more inclined to call/raise a river bet if the river bricks.

Donking into him here steals the aggression from villain, if he raises us he is strong but we can call to improve, if he calls we may still be able to steal the pot on the river. If he folds its all gold.

I just think it's sexier, and without stack sizes or blinds ($1/$2 ???) it's all speculation anyway. Laughing
