I signed up for the inter-forum tourney, so decided to check out the Royal Vegas software last night.

I jump on a $0.10 $0.20 NL. The client is very similar to Ladbrookes but its been years since I switched to William Hill so I’m finding the interface a little unintuitive, plus I’m on my laptop and using a scratch pad for the mouse.

Anyway I get a few rags and tick the auto-fold box, so when the action comes around to me they’re tossed.

Then I see them, those sweet Aces every player just loves. Action reaches me, I set the raise to 5xBB but can’t find the button to bet it. My girlfriend starts asking me for help at the other PC. I’m madly searching the bottom bar for anything that looks like a button but it’s too late, I see the aces go sailing off into the muck. I scream.

(I later found the option buttons appear in the middle of the table panel)

Now I know it was sod all money and I still ended the practice session well up, but it was annoying. It was a wasted opportunity. It’s like when you see a fiver on the floor and as you pause to think it blows away and down a drain.

Anyway I guess it was luck that it wasn't at a £0.50-£1.00 table Smile

Haha, you folded AA preflop. Shocked

(Sorry).

Aces are low right?

This isn’t even an embellished story. I didn’t get QQ or KK and thought I’d bump it up to aces to improve the anecdote. I really folded the f**king rockets. Crying

Seriously though I believe in karma so something good better be on the way! :D

It's a good point muck, I always try out the play money tables when i move to a new site. RV has one of the weirdest setups i've ever seen, it's different from all the other prima sites even tho it looks the same, it's a PITA at first.

And oh yeah.... you folded Aces preflop Twisted Evil

I did the exact same thing on RV with KK the first time I played there. I think I did it in some SnG or something with my free $10.

I haven't folded aces but I have been "Sitting Out" and walked back in the room just to see my pocket kings sitting there. I LUNGE at the computer hoping to click "I'm Back." before the action gets around to me.

I didn't get there in time. Sad

I've switched my view on Royal Vegas to the smallest, and on Hold'em tables, the slider appears more where I'd expect it - next to the buttons in the lower-right. It also allows me to have many tables up at the same time, with a minimal usage of screen real estate. Might be worth doing for ya...

Eek! I gotta change the avatar - I sold that car almost 2 months ago!

Hey maybe it was a good thing, last night I lost a buy-in with AA against 55. He hit a straight on the turn. Seriously though I’m starting to enjoy cash games a lot more and think I might leave SnGs for a little while.

I won back most of the cash and ended the session £1.80 down. I was there for about 2 hours, pity the stakes are to low to qualify for a rake back Sad

I have done exactly that myself..With the funny little twist that the flop after folding my KK came KK5...That was a tiney weenie bit annoying!

Just two nights ago I folded TT by accident whilst trying to click on the "auto post blind" button in my very hand at a ring game on PP.

At least no one knew....Smile

Why is it that girlfriends and spouses have a radar for coming in with something absolutely inane at just the wrong moment in a hand? Is it bred into them? Do they cover it in high school?

Quoted for truth.

1st post!!!!!!!!!! :D

Just found this forum about 3 days ago and I gota say, it has surely helped pass the time at work. Anyway on to my story....

Last week I was away in DC on business and I was playing a $20 heads up NL(turbo) match in my hotel room on Full Tilt.

We were pretty even in chips and the blinds were 50/100. Room Service knocks on the door with my steak so I tell the guy to hold up a second so I can get my food. About 20 secs later I hear him winning pot after pot since my timer timed out and set me to auto fold to any bet.

I am trying to rush the room service guy but of course he is taking all the time in the world. I finally get him out the door and just has I get back to where my laptop is I see AA getting tossed in.

I type "Thanks for waiting =/" in the chat box and the prick comes back with a F**k You!!!

Next hand I go all-in with AKs and he calls thinking I am steaming. He flips over 33 and I hit my A on the flop.

I went on to win the match. Gota love karma!
