If you think for even a split second about your bad beats, chances are you are needlessly losing money. There's no place in good poker for 'em.
That's all.
=P
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

"I can hardly remember how I built my bankroll, but I can't stop thinking about the way I lost it."

I heartily agree.
Entirely too much time is spent by most poker players complaining about what would have, should have, or could have happened.
On every river, there's always the possiblity that your opponent will hit the one card in the deck that will save him. Also, Just say no to rabbit hunting!

Bitching wont bring your money back. But venting your frustrastions will help you tilt a little less and keep you from losing more money after you recieve a bad beat. So if you dont want to hear people talk about bad beats dont click on this section of the forum. As for people who want to rant about the retards who river their miracle card keep posting.

I remember when I would take an awful beat, post here and cry about it. As a matter of fact, sometimes I still do, but not often.
Anymore, when I lose runner runner straight when I've got all my chips in with a flopped set heads up in an SnG ( ) it just rolls right off of me. I finally realized that when you are playing 300-700 hands per day, it's going to happen. A lot.
Once I figured this out, tilt is nil, and bankroll keeps climbing! Hooray for me!

You beat me! And you're so right as well. I've got some brutal ones, but I'm above that...not really. SnG on stars the other night. Get KK, shortstack on the bubble and instapush. second shortstack calls with 25s...do I even need to go on?

And this should be a sticky...........
If your bad beat isn't at least as bad as this one......
Don't even think of posting it!
