So I was playing in a Turbo SnG on stars. In the SB, I get dealt AA at a very good time. The new short stack at the table only has 280 chips left with the BB being 200. He obviously pushes.
Being in the small blind, I just call the additional 180 chips, hoping to get someone to reraise to isolate the shortstack. My wish comes true when the BB pushes. Anyone else use this move?

I haven't used that particular play, but I when I played the turbos on prima limping with high PPs was often gold...people had such a hurry getting chips they would pull some outrageous bluffs to pick up the blinds from limpers or steal the pot on the flop.
I don't know what the structure is like on stars turbos though.

I haven’t used that play but I do like to be aware of players who look like they’re probably going to move all-in and so re-open the opportunity to raise.
This happened in a live tourney I played in years ago:
UTG limps, folds to me OTB with AA, I see the BB is short stacked and know she’s the kind of person who’d push here before reaching the point of no return, so I just call.
BB raises all-in, UTG calls and I re-raise. UTG grudgingly folds.
I think it’s also important to beware of these players if you’re hoping to just limp. May times I’ve sloppily called then looked at the table and just thought “Damn, that guy’s sooo gona push now”.
