Super/System..... a little out of date but is still a good choice.

Hellmuth- teaches you more than jsut holdem

Sklansky- teaches you holdem well

zen and the art of poker- teaches you how not to screw up at the table...

the combo of the 3 is perfect...

a nice combo of a range of games, really strong in holdem AND how to keep you head in the game and you will be successful

I have Sklansky's Poker theory and his Texas hold'em book. They are both very instructional, but I'm still lacking a good No limit book. Any suggestions? How is his tournament play book - That's based around NL I believe. His advanced hold'em book is more limit right?

Absolution: I just got Sklansky's tournament book last week and have read it once. Not bad. He's got some good ideas on tournaments (especially the Gap concept) and how to play in them. It has shed a little light on the subject of tourneys and some of the concepts for me after just one reading. Like his books on Hold em though, it will take multiple readings to completely digest. It can be dry at times.
I want to get his poker theory book soon. It is next on my list.

So there is no definitive NL book?

I've asked that question myself and the answer seems to always be "Super System" by Doyle Brunson. The book is big (covers a lot of different games) and expensive($30+) but I've heard the chapter on NL is the way to go. I have also heard not to waste your money so I don't know for sure. I'm still tossing around on if/when to buy it.
