I know I played this hand out pretty much the way I should have, but I'm trying to maximize value on hands like these. 100 NL on Pacific, not much of a read on villain, but we can assume he's a donk like most of the other Pacific Players.
Hero is in BB with AK
MP calls, LP min-raises to $2, SB calls, Hero calls, MP calls.
Flop: K 2 3 rainbow (Pot ~7.50)
SB bets $3, Hero raises to $9 (good number to keep him in the hand, but get the pot heads up? hows my pot control?), MP and LP fold
Turn: 9 (Pot ~ 25)
SB checks, Hero bets $15, SB calls
River: J (Pot ~ 55)
SB checks, Hero bets $20
Where should I try to be tweaking my numbers here?

If I know he is a donk, I pot the turn too...donks are more likely to be in here still even if they don't have a hand that beats you, and more likely to call a pot bet if they have a draw. Pot it quickly, so they don't have time to think.
On the negative side, sets will sting a little more, but I think its worth it.
If the guy is rock solid, I bet as you did and have little problem folding to a raise on the turn.
I might have taken the liberty of a good sized preflop raise here though. Not everyone agrees, but I think AKs is strong enough for that in the BB.

looks good, raise preflop.
on the turn/river you get raised, if this guy is good, this is a fold.

Assuming you had the best hand, which I feel you did, then I would say a pot size bet on the river. If he calls then great. If not then you still won a great pot.
