NL200 @ Party
Hero:$230
Villian: $250
A few limpers.... then
Hero: AKo
Hero in LP raises to $12, 2 limpers call
Flop: A A K Pot: $40
Villian checks, MP checks, Hero checks
Checked here because I'm holding the nuts and want to make sure they catch something.
Turn 5 Pot: $40
Villian bets $16, MP folds, Hero Calls
River 9 Pot: $72
Villian bets $30, Hero.....
I have the nuts but how do I get paid???
Min-raise to $30?
Decent raise to $80-$100?
Push?
Edited to add another hand:
Hero: $240
Villian: $150
Folds to CO who raises to $8, Hero in SB raises to $20 w/ KK, BB folds, Villian calls
Flop: K K 6 Pot: $40
Again, I flop the nuts.
Hero leads for $10, Villian calls.
I wanted to look weak so a 1/4 pot bet should do it. Only way I lose this hand is to running aces if he has AA.
Turn: 9 Pot: $60
Hero bets $20, Villian calls
What in the hell can he be calling with??? Pockets???
River: 2 Pot: $100
Villian only has $100...
So hero?????
Edit: Gotta add one more... weird session.
Hero is dealt A Q in the BB.
$6 raise EP, SB calls, Hero calls
Flop: A K Q
SB checks, Hero bets $10, EP calls, SB calls.
Turn: Q Pot: $48
Awesome card. Fills me up and puts the flush on the table.
SB bets $20, Hero calls, CO folds.
Called with hopes of raising the river.
River: 3 Pot: $88
SB bets $30.... Hero????

Easy to play poker when the deck hits you in the face
First hand I raise to $120.
Second hand I check the turn to try and get him to bluff. But, in your position I bet 40$ and hope he pushes.
Third hand, raise to $120, depending on stack sizes. I like to bet about 1/3- 1/2 the villains chips, hoping they move them all-in.

I suck at NLHE ring games but here goes ...
First hand: maybe min-raise ... chances are he has the case ace, maybe he filled up on one of those other cards? He was betting so small at the pot he was probably trying to get money out of you? Otherwise I'd say anywhere between $80 - $90 is a good raise.
2nd: Maybe bet $30 on the turn, and then $50 - $60 on the river, I doubt you can get his whole stack, but if you do, more power to you.
3rd: Damn your opponents weakly bet into big pots, make it $100.

Well shit... no one noticed the bad beat in disguise.
First two hands I pushed in and they folded.
Third hand I pushed and got called.... by J T for the Royal.
