I'm dealer in a home game thats down to 6 handed.
I am about 3rd in chips and I have a maniac to my right and a bad player to my left. I am dealt 7 5 and decide I like it. Maniac raises triple the big blind which is nothing much to my stack and I decide to call based on him definatly being in it (which usually means a pay off if you hit) and my position. Ends up theres 4 people in the hand and the flop comes 7 A and another spade. Checked to maniac who raises another triple the bb and I call; the rest fold. The turn comes blank and he triples the bb again and I think my 7's are good anyways but if they aren't I have enough outs and enough money in the pot to call and just fold the river. The river comes a J of spades making my flush. He triples the BB again and I reraise him 10 x the big blind which in-turn he pushes me all in and stares me down. I know he didn't hit his flush because he doesn't play flush draws like that, so I called and showed him my cards; he had ace jack and hit two pair on the river.
He was talking a lot of smack after and I just smiled cause I thought his chips looked better in my stack...
Wrong play? Personally I think playing unpredicatable hands are good, if you only play premium hands you will become predictable.

Nice play...I like to raise the turn in that situation though.
Way to know your opponents, btw. Nh.

I was a little antsy about just smooth calling on a flush draw which usually seems fishy and obvious but the whole game I had been raising like I should be and I wanted to make it "look" like I was acting like I had a flush draw but actually didn't; which is one of my pre-set bluffs that this player knows I like to use.

Few things ... first off sounds like your opponent actually BET the flop, he couldn't have raised since there was no action ahead of him.
Second, bets before the flop are described in terms of multiples of the big blind (which you did), but bets after the flop are usually described in terms of pot size. This point is important because he bet SO little on the flop, and turn especially, he was giving you more than the required odds for you to hit your flush (based on the pot size).
When your opponents don't understand pot odds and you do, you have a huge advantage over them (look at calculating odds on the left side of the webppage).
Thirdly, nice hand ... suited one gappers are fun aren't they? :D

Ya I know about odds and stuff; maybe my poker posting isn't up to par though. I personally couldn't see what he was complaining about with his consistent low bets that pretty much scream "Call me if you want to draw."
Am I the only one who ever has predetermined bluffs? eg. chasing a non existant flush draw and reraising when you hit.

I don't like that play at all with an ace on the board. The guy most likely re-raises him all in on the turn & he is pretty far behind.
