So, I kinda had that fix I needed to take care of by playing some live poker. Some of you already know that I just got a new job so I finally have a decent bankroll to play with. I decided to play some 2/4 at the palms. Kinda funny that I had a promotional coupont that pays $25 to $20 played... which pretty much means that I get $5 free for playing 2 hours in their room... woohoo! I'm rich now. (LOL i thought i would be getting $25)
So, from 1015 pm sunday to 730 am monday I net a loss of $71. Not bad... I just didn't get that streak of hands. Normally, I feel bad about losses, but not really this time. (A good paying job really changes your perspective on money.) It's nice to watch people who suck out on you with improper pot odds eventually leave the table broke, playing the same style.
Bad beat hand? Flop comes out 7 7 8. A check to me and I bet with 8 A. 8 on the turn. I have him beat, even if he has a 7. So, I bet he calls. 7 on the river. Sweet deal! He bets, I raise, he reraises, I call. He has the fourth 7. Bummer.
I also watched someone hit the high hand royal flush and walk out with $600. Also, earlier in the night, someone won the megabucks off a slot machine in that casino. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Hey Sal-how is the poker room at the Mirage? Staying at Treasure Island next week so I want to stay close to there. We have a group of 10, so most of my play will probably be early morning.

I really liked the Mirage. I've only played the $10/$20 there, but came out on top just playing tight/aggressive and no funny business.
