Let us know your best placed finish in an online tourney with more than 100 players.

hm ok long time ago i won a 5$ mtt on Absolute it had 103 players
i have 2 wins on prima both in range of 150-250 players buyins 1$ and 2$
and on stars i have this
LO8 5$ 1/369 461$
NLH 1$ 1/384 88$
also 16/1837 in 1$ NLH but crap payout :D
180 player sngs 20+2$
4/180 - 288$
6/180 - 160$ this was yesterday

I've made quite a few final tables in 150 or so player events but my best is still 5/244 live. Online, I just can't seem to get beyond 3rd which I've had 4 times in MTTs. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride

lol that's what i always say! especially when it comes to poker. lol

in the last couple of months i have made a fair few final tables. the 7 months previous since i started not much at all. not even a final table. i know what i have changed and its quite simple. i no longer play to just make the money.

Played my first NL Torney last night !
Came 53rd out of 380
I have only played FL up to now, so any advice on the difference is much appreciated !
It looks like that the more aggressive players do well.... along with a lot of luck !

Wash your mouth out with soap! NL is arguably less about luck than FL (in respect of chasing down hands) so you just have to learn the differences and play accordingly..........

I won a rebuy sat thingy on prima with 3000 players or something. But it was a freeroll entry with 5$ rebuys (I think), so the competition was soso.
I have atleast one final table finish in a 10,000 player freeroll. And another one near the FT atleast. Memory is fuzzy.
In low buy-in tourneys (1$ - 5$) w/200-400 players I have a some final tables also.
Never played tourneys after I started moving up a little in stakes (even though my steps have been modest), so I have no recent results, all are from when I started out in poker.

I'm kinda in the same boat as Tame: I haven't really played many MTTs in the recent past. I'm 'going back' to them a bit the past few months though.
I pimped the shit out of freerolls back in the day, but I can't recall many specifics. My "initial stake" online came from some $.50 cash in a $50 guaranteed freeroll

Since I last posted tournament results, I won 2 more Stud High-Low tournaments and 1 180-man NL Hold'em tournament.
1/~200 Stud 8-or-Better x 2
2/~200 Stud 8-or-Better
1/180 No Limit Hold'em
9/180 No Limit Hold'em
I still really want to win a bigger Hold'em tournament, especially a rebuy or Deepstack event.
However, I've also switched to being a nearly exclusive cash player, and I've barely played at all in the last month.
